VPNOPT Setup Guide

Start in the user panel to connect your plan, subscription link, and client. If this is your first time, follow the steps in order. Already have a subscription link? Jump straight to the instructions for your platform.

Menu names may vary by platform and client version. This guide refers to features such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” “Import from link,” and “Connect.” Use the options shown in your user panel and client. System permission prompts may also vary depending on your device settings.

Create an account and save your credentials

First, open the account creation page in the VPNOPT user panel. No email address is required; create your account with a username and password. Follow the on-screen instructions, and before submitting, check that your username is easy to recognize and your password is different from those you use for other services. Save your login details in a password manager rather than relying on your browser to remember them.

Once you’re done, make sure you’re signed in to your own user panel. If you’re still on the login page, sign in with the username and password you just saved; there’s no need to create another account. Your account manages your plan, orders, client downloads, and subscription. When you switch devices, sign in to the same account to access your subscription instead of setting up a separate account for each device.

Because you don’t need an email address to create an account, it’s especially important to save your username and password. Don’t store your credentials in public notes or shared documents. Sign out of the panel before leaving a shared device. If your browser asks to save your password, decide based on whether the device is yours. Once your account is ready, continue to choose the data allowance and billing option you need.

Choose a plan and confirm your order

Go to the plans section in the user panel and decide between a monthly plan and a data package. Monthly plans suit regular use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not necessarily at the start of each calendar month. Consider your typical usage before choosing: long video sessions and ongoing file transfers generally use more data than browsing text.

If your usage varies, compare the data packages: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. Data remains available until used and never expires. “Never expires” refers to the package terms; it does not mean unlimited data. The key difference between these options is whether data resets monthly, not which devices they support. Always check the plan details and order information shown in the panel.

After choosing a plan, open the order page and check the plan name, data allowance, price, and billing terms. Then follow the instructions to pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. When payment is complete, return to the panel and check that the order status and plan have updated. If the payment page shows success but the panel hasn’t updated yet, refresh the order status and keep your payment receipt. Don’t click repeatedly and risk paying twice.

VPNOPT supports unlimited simultaneous devices and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into the remaining days; check the result in the panel before proceeding. To compare each tier, see the plan pricing page. Once your plan is active, get the subscription for your client.

Choose This Plan

Get your subscription from the panel

Open the account overview in the user panel and find the subscription section. The subscription link passes your account’s route configuration to a client; it isn’t a web address for browsing routes individually. If the panel offers an import option for your client, use it. Otherwise, copy the link and choose the option to import from a link in your client.

Before copying, make sure you’re signed in to the account with an active plan, and check the plan status and remaining data. After copying the link, paste it directly into your client. Avoid passing it through chat apps or documents, where it could be truncated, gain extra spaces, or be exposed. The import field needs the full subscription URL—not the marketing homepage or the account overview address in your browser bar.

Keep your subscription link as safe as your account credentials. Don’t share it in public groups, forums, or screenshots of support requests. When contacting support, provide the client name, platform, and error message; there’s no need to send the full link. If you think the link has been exposed, check whether the panel offers a reset option. After resetting it, replace the link and update the configuration in every client you use.

Getting a subscription doesn’t connect you automatically. Next, install a client for your system, import the subscription, and choose a route. For more on subscription formats and network settings for developer tools, see the AI tools access guide. For now, continue with the steps for your first connection.

Get Subscription

Install and import by platform

Get clients from the user panel; there’s no need to look for installers on other websites. Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux clients are available to download after signing in; an active plan is required to download the iOS client. Download eligibility and the active subscription needed to connect are separate requirements, so check your plan and subscription status after installing. The steps below focus on the VPNOPT clients available in the panel; menu names may vary by version.

Get the Client

Windows: Install and import from a link

In the panel’s download section, choose the client for Windows and follow the installer instructions. If Windows asks you to approve installation permissions, first check that the file came from the VPNOPT user panel, then decide whether to continue. Once the client opens, go to “Subscription” or “Configuration” and look for an option such as “Add subscription” or “Import from link.” Paste the full address you copied and save it.

After saving, update the subscription and check that the client displays a list of regions or routes—not just a subscription name that hasn’t loaded. If one-click import from the panel prompts your browser to open the client, verify the target app before allowing it. For your first connection, use the client’s default recommended connection method. Don’t run another network proxy at the same time, so you can tell which app is handling your traffic.

macOS: Install the client and grant system permissions

Choose the macOS client in the panel and follow the download instructions to install it. The first time you open it, macOS may ask you to confirm the app or approve a network extension. Check the app’s source first, then follow the prompts in System Settings. Don’t disable system security protections entirely just to install the client. If macOS says it can’t open the app, read the message first and determine whether it’s an app verification issue or a network permission issue.

Open the subscription or configuration manager in the client, choose to import from a URL or link, then save and update the subscription. Connect after the routes appear. If macOS asks to add a VPN configuration or approve a network extension, make sure the request came from the client you just installed before continuing. For a more detailed installation and permissions walkthrough, see the Mac VPN setup guide, then return here to verify the connection.

Android: Import your subscription and allow the connection request

Get the Android client from the panel and install it by following the system prompts. If your device restricts installations from certain sources, grant permission only to the trusted source you’re using, and review the setting afterward. Open the client, add the subscription link in the subscription or configuration section, save and update it, then wait for the route list to load before selecting a route.

The first connection usually triggers an Android VPN connection request. Make sure it came from the VPNOPT client, then allow it and check the connection status in the app. If the connection drops when you switch to another app, check whether your system restricts background activity and adjust the settings available on your device. Use the default network settings for your first connection; avoid changing several advanced options at once while troubleshooting.

iOS: Open the download page from the panel

First, make sure your account plan is active. Then open the iOS download page in the panel and follow the instructions to get the client. An active plan is required to access the iOS download; the sign-in-to-download rule for other platforms doesn’t apply to iOS. After installation, return to the panel and use the import option for your client. If the app doesn’t open automatically, copy the subscription link and choose the option to add it from a link in the client’s subscription manager.

Once the subscription has updated and the routes are visible, select a route and connect. When iOS first asks to add a VPN configuration, confirm the app name and follow the prompts on your device. Then return to the client and check that the connection stays active. If your browser doesn’t open the app, check that the client is installed and try importing the link manually instead of clicking repeatedly. After importing on any platform, continue with the checks below.

Linux and existing clients

Linux users can also get the client from the panel. Follow the installation instructions provided there, then use the subscription import option to load your configuration. If you already use another client, first check whether the panel provides a compatible format; don’t force an incompatible configuration into it. For network settings involving command-line tools, an IDE, or an API, wait until the basic connection works, then see the in-depth guide. This helps avoid mistaking an app configuration issue for a subscription problem.

Connect to a route and verify the connection

Return to the client and confirm that the subscription you just imported is active, the update is complete, and the route list is visible. Choose a route based on where you’re accessing the service from, then connect. VPNOPT covers 90+ countries and 170+ routes. When choosing a route, consider the target service’s regional rules and how the connection performs in practice, not just the region name. Check the routes page for route types and selection guidance.

Once the client shows that you’re connected, open a regular webpage to confirm your device can still access the internet, then open the service you actually need. Check that pages load fully, sign-in works, and the connection stays active as you continue using it. If the page was already open, refresh it or open it in a new tab. A system connection indicator is useful, but it doesn’t replace testing the service itself.

If regular webpages work but the service you need shows a region or account restriction, read the message before assuming the client isn’t working. Third-party platforms may consider your account region, their policies, and your network’s exit location; switching routes alone may not resolve every restriction. When using AI tools, also distinguish between web app and API setup. For troubleshooting steps, see the AI tools access guide.

If no webpages load, disconnect the client first and check that your device’s regular internet connection works. Then check whether your plan is active, the subscription is up to date, system permissions have been granted, and other proxy apps are closed. Change one setting at a time and reconnect to identify the cause. Repeat the same checks after switching routes; avoid changing several things at once.

Once the basic connection works, sign in to the same account on other devices and import the subscription into each client. VPNOPT supports unlimited simultaneous devices, but adding devices doesn’t increase your plan’s data allowance, so keep an eye on usage in your account. If you need help later, visit the support page or submit a ticket in the user panel. Include the step you were on, your platform, the client’s message, and what you’ve already checked. Hide subscription links and account credentials in screenshots.
